Nefertiti was an Egyptian queen known for her long, elegant neck and sleek jawline. There are non-surgical techniques that will reduce your jowls and contour your jawline. The results redefine the elegant lines of the jaw and neck for a youthful, tighter, more contoured appearance. Botox injections are used to redefine the jawline and provide ‘lifting’ in the neck area.

We think of Botox as “relaxing a muscle”, so how does relaxing the muscle along the jawline and neck actually lift?
The Nefertiti neck lift is a new technique by placing multiple injections of Botox along the lower jawline, as well as along the upper neck, and at times down the side of the neck along the platysma muscle. Once these muscles are relaxed, the net effect is an upward pull from facial muscles, lifting the jowel; and creating a younger jawline, neck, and face. For a lasting result the treatment needs to be repeated every 3 to 4 months. Although most of the patients are happy with the results, the off-label use of botulinum toxin A is not a replacement for surgery.
After this procedure muscle stimulation treatments are contraindicated. Exercising facial muscles to obtain a “natural facelift” is not a good idea… research shows facial muscles create wrinkles, they don’t prevent them. Furthermore, exercising the lower face and neck muscle can result in saggy jowls and a wrinkled neck. Leave the lifting and wrinkle smoothing to the experts here at NBDPS! : )
