Ascleara®Foam Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy is the best treatment for visible veins on the legs. Especially beneficial for small purple veins on the surface of the skin, sclerotherapy is the injection of the veins with a ‘sclerosant,’such as hypertonic saline or Ascleara®, which results in the collapsing and disappearance of unsightly veins. For optimal results, 3-4 treatment sessions are needed. Prices range from $400-$800 per treatment, and prices are available upon consultation. In our practice we primarily use Ascleara for this treatment. Ascleara (foamed polidocanol) is a newer, more comfortable, and safer alternative to hypertonic saline. We recommend all patients wear compression stockings for 2 weeks after each treatment.
