Botox

Botox® is now considered a critical part of any anti-aging regimen. Botox is truly a breakthrough treatment that not only reverses wrinkling but can actually prevent some aspects of wrinkling.

Botox is an injectable treatment that relaxes and minimizes fine lines. Done properly, it does not cause a ‘frozen’ look. We aim for a natural appearance.

Botox is most commonly performed for lines between the eyes, outside the eyes, and on the forehead, but we also use it in much smaller quantities on other areas of the face for more subtle anti-aging effects using advanced techniques. Everyone has different needs and quantities of units to achieve the result they desire. This requires individualized consultation. It is priced at $17/unit at Newport Beach Dermatology and Plastic Surgery, with $50 off to new patients. The price of the amount of Botox that is right for you is available with a consultation. A typical cost for just the outer eyes is $17 x 25 units = $425. Botox treatments typically last approximately 3-4 months.

Botox injections are performed by Dr. McNeill, Dr. Lehmer, Jennifer Moller PA-C, and Kristin Scord PA-C. We prefer to see our patients back for a recheck 2 weeks after the injection to assess your result and touch-up treat if desired.

If you are scheduled for an injection, taking Motrin, ibuprofen, aspirin, naproxen or other NSAIDS may increase your chance of bruising. If OK with your doctor, refrain from taking these medications for 1 week prior to any injectable procedure.
