PLASTIC SURGERY

Brow

It is not uncommon for those who have eyelid skin excess to also have brow descent where the eyebrow appears overbearing and frowns the periorbital area. For these patients, a browlift is indicated. This procedure is often called a forehead lift since the skin is repositioned through a series of short incisions within the hairline. This is not very invasive since microscopic video equipment is used to reach under the skin to assist boosting aging muscles that contract to form creases near the bridge of the nose and across the forehead. For less significant brow descent, an even less invasive temporal or lateral browlift is performed.
