Juvederm®, Restylane Lyft, Refyne, Defyne® & Belotero Balance®
Juvederm®, Restylane® (Lyft, Refyne, Defyne, and Restylane) and Belotero Balance® are hyaluronic-acid based dermal fillers. Hyaluronic acid is a normal part of human skin and therefore has an extremely low risk of allergy. At Newport Beach Dermatology and Plastic Surgery, we only use hyaluronic-acid based dermal fillers as the safety of our patients is our number one priority.
Dermal fillers ‘plump’ the skin by restoring volume that has been lost due to the aging process. Injection of dermal fillers was originally developed for the nasolabial folds, or “parenthesis” around the mouth. However, they can be used in a variety of other locations: for shaping the cheekbones, filling chin depressions, nose contouring, “sunken-in” temples, and deep lines between the eyes (in combination with Botox). In fact, these facial locations often obtain the most natural and long-lasting results with dermal fillers.
They are injected by Dr. McNeill, Dr. Lehmer, Dr. Christopher Ellstrom, Jennifer Moller PA-C., and Kristin Scord PA-C. Dermal fillers cost $800 per 1mL syringe. Most patients require 1 or 2mL for the nasolabial folds or lips or chin. Treatment of cheeks or temples may require 3 or 4mL. Most treatments last between 9 months – 1 year or longer.
Newport Beach Dermatology has been recognized by Allergan, the makers of Botox, Juvederm as a Black Diamond Provider which is the highest achievable recognition given to healthcare providers.

If you are scheduled for an injection, refrain from taking Motrin, Ibuprofen, Aspirin, Naproxen or other NSAIDS, as they may increase your chance of bruising. If OK with your doctor, refrain from taking these medications for 1 week prior to any injectable procedure.
