Mobile Texting / SMS Privacy Policy

If you opt in to receive text messages from us, you are consenting to receive text messages related to your relationship with Newport Beach Dermatology and Plastic Surgery, (NBDPS) including updates related to your visits, your NBDPS Patient Portal account,  making, changing, cancelling appointments, answers to information requested regarding treatments and services we offer. These texts are unencrypted and message and data rates may apply. Message frequency may vary.

Your information is used to provide medical services, communicate with you, and improve our services. We may use 10DLC compliant messaging services for secure text-based communication.

By providing your mobile phone number, you consent to receive text messages from us for appointment reminders, treatment follow-up, and other healthcare-related communications. Standard message and data rates may apply.

Our text messages are intended to provide valuable information related to our services or products.  We commit to sending messages at a reasonable frequency and ensuring the content is relevant and appropriate.

Note that carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Opt-Out Policy

You have the right to opt-out of 10DLC messaging services at any time. To opt-out, you can reply to an SMS message with the specific keyword ‘STOP’ or contact our office directly at (949) 706-7886 or mail a letter requesting to be removed to: 1441 Avocado Ave.  Suite 702  ATTN: Privacy Officer, Newport Beach, Ca 92660.  Your opt-out request will generate one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed.

Prohibited Content

We strictly adhere to regulations prohibiting certain types of content. This includes, but is not limited to, content related to SHAFT (Sex, Hate, Alcohol, Firearms, Tobacco), as well as any fraudulent, malicious, abusive, or illegal content.

We may maintain pages for our Company on social media platforms, such as, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and other third-party platforms. You or the platforms may provide us with information through the platform, and we will treat such information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Marketing and advertising. We do not sell your personal information or the personal information of your users.  We, may collect and use your personal information for marketing and advertising purposes:

  • Direct marketing. We may send you NBDPS -related direct marketing communications as permitted by law, including by email and mail. You may opt-out of our marketing communications as described in the Opt-out of marketing communications section below.
