Improve sun-damaged skin and uneven pigmentation with OPL (Optimized Pulsed Light) photofacial treatments, also known as IPL (Intense Pulsed Light). This non-invasive treatment helps reduce brown sun spots, redness, and visible blood vessels while improving overall skin tone and clarity. OPL photofacials are commonly performed on the face, neck, and chest, but can also be used on the arms and legs to treat sun damage.

How Does OPL / IPL Work?

OPL uses controlled pulses of broad-spectrum light to target unwanted pigmentation and visible blood vessels beneath the skin. The light energy gently heats the targeted cells, causing the body to naturally break down and eliminate the damaged pigment or vascular lesions.

As the skin heals, patients notice clearer, more even skin tone with improved brightness and reduced redness. Because OPL can target multiple skin concerns at once, it is an effective treatment for improving overall skin appearance.

What to Expect During OPL / IPL Treatment

OPL photofacial treatments are quick, non-invasive procedures performed in-office. During the treatment, pulses of light are applied to the skin to target pigment and redness. Patients may feel a brief warming sensation or a light snapping feeling during treatment.

The procedure typically requires little to no downtime. Some mild redness may occur immediately after treatment, and dark spots may temporarily darken before naturally fading as the skin heals.

OPL is most effective for individuals with fair skin and darker pigmentation concerns, such as sun spots or visible blood vessels.
