Rejuvenate your skin and support natural hair growth with PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy. This regenerative treatment uses growth factors from your own blood to stimulate collagen production and promote healthier hair follicles. PRP can be used for hair restoration as well as facial rejuvenation, helping improve skin quality and stimulate natural tissue renewal.
How Does PRP Work?
PRP therapy uses a concentrated portion of your own blood that contains powerful growth factors responsible for tissue repair and regeneration. During the treatment, a small amount of blood is drawn and placed into a centrifuge to separate the platelet-rich plasma from other blood components.
The concentrated PRP is then injected into targeted areas of the scalp or skin. These platelets release growth factors that stimulate collagen production, improve circulation, and activate the body’s natural healing process. Because PRP is derived from your own blood, the treatment carries very little risk of allergic reaction or rejection.
What to Expect During PRP Treatment
PRP treatments are performed in-office and typically take about 45–60 minutes. A small sample of blood is drawn, processed in a centrifuge to isolate the platelet-rich plasma, and then injected into the treatment area.
PRP may be used to stimulate hair follicle growth for hair restoration or to improve skin texture and collagen production in facial rejuvenation treatments, sometimes referred to as a “vampire facial.” Patients may experience mild redness or tenderness at the treatment site, but there is little to no downtime.
Multiple sessions may be recommended depending on the treatment goals.

Harness the power of PRP, platelet-rich plasma for hair growth stimulation and facial rejuvenation PRP Stimulates growth of both collagen and hair follicles by harnessing your own bodies naturally occurring growth factors that are contained within your blood. Consult one of our providers to see if PRP can help you. Dr. McNeill injecting platelets to help promote follicle growth Here at NBDPS our providers use PRP to help hair follicles grow hair, and also for what is sometimes referred to as the "vampire" facial which promotes collagen and healthy cell growth on the face. Ask if you're a candidate for hair restoration, everyone can benefit from PRP on the face.
PRP plays a significant role in the regulation of cell growth, proliferation and differentiation during the remodeling phase. PRP is a high concentration of platelets surrounded in its own plasma. A small amount of blood is drawn and the red cells are isolated from the platelet-rich plasma. Since the autologous platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is processed from the patient's own blood, there is virtually no risk of an allergic reaction or rejection. The internal essence of your blood contains life-giving fundamental protein growth factors. PRP utilizes a leading-edge, patented technology that is specifically designed. With simple, quick and advantageous process, Dr. McNeill, Dr. Lewallen, Dr. Lehmer, Kristin Scord, PA-C and Colleen Jewess PA-C are able to derive a high concentration of biological nutrient-rich cells and create autologous platelet-rich plasma. What is the process?
One of our medical assistants will draw an amount of blood similar to what is required for a basic lab test.
The medical assistant places the blood into a centrifuge and spins the blood at a very rapid rate to separate the platelets from the other components of the blood
The platelet-rich plasma is activated to release at least eight essential growth factors and signaling proteins. Platelet-rich plasma is a technology that deploys aspects of blood-based biochemistry. Because all constitutes retrieved in PRP are exclusively from the patient, there is virtually no risk of intolerance.
Known Effects of PRP Injection include: EGF-Epidermal Growth Factor-plays a significant role in the regulation of cell growth. Stimulates keratinocyte and fibroblast production. TGF-Transforming Growth Factor- Promotesangiogenesis which is the physiological process of involving the growth of new blood vessels. VEGF-Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor- An important signaling protein involved in both vasculogenesis and angiogenesis that may help the growth of blood vessels from pre-existing vasculature. FGF-Fibroblast Growth Factor-Promotes angiogenesis, granulation, and epitheliazation for the intricate process of tissue repairing itself after injury. PDGF- Platelet Derived Growth Factor- Attracts macrophages and fibroblasts to the zone of injury. Promotes collagen growth and proteoglycan synthesis. Interleukins, Macrophages, Keratinocytes, Endothelial Cells, Lymphocytes, Fibroblasts, Osteoblasts, Basophils, Mast Cells- Activates fibroblast differentiation. Induces collagen and proteoglycan synthesis for healthy cell production and repair of damaged tissues. Collagen Stimulating Growth Factor- Stimulates granulocyte and macrophage proliferationfor the growth of healthy tissue and blood cells. KGF- Keratinocyte Growth Factor- Keratinocyte migration, differentiation, and proliferations may optimize conditions for healing and the generation of new skin.
