ZWave is designed to temporarily reduce the appearance of cellulite. It provides visible results on the abdomen, legs, and buttocks. In order to do this, the ZWave machine transmits powerful sound waves into the tissue. Radial pulse energy is delivered via an electromagnetic applicator. The energy spreads out radially to enhance the treatment effect. The high energy radial shock waves consists of two different parts – positive pressure pulse and a comparatively small tensile wave component. The shock wave squeezes the surrounding tissue and breaks the grid structure of the molecules. The tensile wave leads to a collapse of the gas bubbles within the fat structures (cavitation), which re-expand after the high energy radial shock waves and thus ensure a destabilization of the fat structures. This treatment is not painful at all, and some patients even say it feels like a relaxing massage.
